BCA

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) graduates provide the manpower required to develop such software. BCA teaches students how to develop applications using word processing software, desktop software, Internet browsers, and email systems, among other things. In 2017/2018, Tribhuvan University (TU) launched this program under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

This four-year program is divided into eight semesters. The curriculum was first administered by six affiliated campuses of Tribhuvan University (TU). On each campus, there are 35 seats available. This topic is now offered at 87 Tribhuvan University-affiliated institutions. Despite the fact that BCA is an IT-related subject, Tribhuvan University has classified it in the humanities faculty.

Purbanchal University began offering a BCA program in 1989, while Tribhuvan University began offering it a few years ago. This topic, which began in India around 15/20 years ago, is seen to be an excellent one in terms of employment.

“BCA is a software-related issue, and given the size of Nepal’s software sector, it is a pressing concern right now.” It is preferable for students to read-only when they have a clear grasp of why I study BCA and what it entails.

Nowadays, getting a job in any sector without IT knowledge is tough. BCA is an interdisciplinary program that includes both IT and management. Students who have studied this topic have both academic and practical certifications. It may be simpler to find work as a result of this.

The Main Objectives of BCA Program are:

  • To generate high-quality programmers and users for computer applications.
  • To get a deeper understanding of existing and emerging information technology, as well as its impact on management information systems (MIS).
  • Database design and development, as well as the integration of technology into society and the workforce
  • To develop HR professionals who can think critically, communicate properly, and solve difficult problems.
